The Chief cited the unprecedented level of development that has taken place in the area under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government. During the handing over ceremony of a six-unit classroom block to the Mankranho Municipal Assembly Basic School, which was funded by Dr Prempeh, the Chief indicated that traditional authorities have the right to encourage their people to support development-oriented governments, although they are barred from engaging in active partisan politics. He applauded the efforts of the MP in improving water, roads and educational facilities in the area, stating that the reshaping of Techire-Mankran road had facilitated the easy movement of people and their economic activities.

In her response, Dr Prempeh expressed her gratitude to the Chiefs and people of the area for their encouragement and promised to ensure that the five communities equally benefited from the national cake. The Chief, however, appealed for electricity extension and additional boreholes in the area to improve the lives of the people.

In conclusion, the Chief urged the people in the five communities to vote for the NPP in the upcoming elections to ensure continued development in the area. He promised to personally ensure that Dr Prempeh wins the impending NPP constituency primaries as well as the 2024 parliamentary elections.
